Sermon: Who Cares Print

Matthew 9:36

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Who cares? Jesus does. He is probably the only true One Who cares. That is why he left His sheltered abode to find you.  Just one lost sheep it was. But to Christ, that single dumb animal meant everything to Him. Do we really care for one lost soul as well? Let alone one; what about the thousands passing away every day? But that estimation means nothing to Christians. After all, we are concerned about our lives and moaning about our hardships while there are lost souls who die facing starvation, the cold of winter, unspeakable diseases, and even brutal tyranny. When all these descriptions occur in our minds, the hearts of the saints are simply whispering, "So what? Who cares?" Oh, how I pray that those silent words will not continue to echo throughout the hearts of Christians around the world today!
