In an era filled with spiritual darkness and sinful chaos, literally billions fall prey to the snares of the devil. Enslaved to the chains of wickedness, unsaved sinners are being pulled into a burning hell. When there is such a poor soul crying out for help, what will the Christian do? Usually, the sad truth is that saved believers continually see the helpless state of a lost person, yet they do nothing about it. That is not what the missionaries and preachers of the past did. They knew that many were pitifully bound to the system of Satan that they developed a strong burden and love to reach them. That was how the missions started. That was how the revivals started. It began with courageous men of God who were willing to take the task and preach to dying nations about salvation in Christ. Multitudes became saved, because there were volunteers willing to save them. They are heroes. Although the Lord is the One who does the actual saving, He uses us as simple vessels to bring people to salvation. While the devil blinds the world into an empty void, sin wraps the sinners its chains, our godless society brainwashes the next generations into depravity, and hell feasts upon the souls of men, a hero must rise out of the hidden ashes and break forth the light of the glorious gospel.
