Weird incidents can happen when you are witnessing house to house. It was a cloudy day, perfect weather for something strange to happen. I knocked on the door at one house, and a half-dressed boy with a mohawk and lip ring opened the door. His pants were sagging, and he was dressing right in front of me! I asked him if he went to church, and, surprisingly, he said he did. I asked him if he knew where he would go after death, and he said that he did not know. He kindly allowed me to read him the scriptures and show him how to get to Heaven. Then the devil moved by having a car come by to pick him up. He told me that he had to get going, so I told him to read the tract in order to know how to go to Heaven. He nicely parted from me, and he ran to the pickup truck still half-dressed! I walked to another house. That was unusual ... Meanwhile, my father witnessed to a lady at another house. She answered the door, and my father found out that she is a Catholic. My father asked her if she knew how to go to Heaven. She answered, "Yep." My father asked, "How?" She answered that she was saved by faith alone, by the blood of Jesus Christ. My father was shocked! My father doubted her, "Really? Are you sure you can go to Heaven when you die?" She answered again, "Yep, I am sure I am going to Heaven. Have a good day!" And the door suddenly closed. That was the end of my father's witnessing at door #1. My father later told me that those Catholics could be trained in giving the right answer to Bible-believing soul winners knocking on their doors. He said it was sad to see people deceived by their religious system. That was unusual... Read 0 Comments... >> |

We went up a hillside (where a lot of rich people lived). At one door that I knocked on, I remember the Mormon woman who opened the door. She told me that salvation can be earned by faith in Jesus Christ. Stop? Nope. She continued saying salvation was earned with keeping the commandments and getting baptized. She was going to quickly close the door on me, but before she could react, I answered her that God disagreed with her statement. This sparked her curiosity, and I opened the scriptures to her. I explained to her that no works are included in salvation according to Titus 3:5. She did not oppose the idea that salvation was by grace without works, but she disagreed that baptism was unnecessary for salvation. I read Titus 3:5 to her again about "Not by works of righteousness." Then I turned to Matthew 3:13-15 where Jesus said baptism is a work of righteousness. She was held back and replied, "I can't answer to that. But there are many interpretations to scriptures, and it is important to get the right interpretation. That is why we have God's prophets to show us what the correct interpretations are. Those verses you showed are just according to your interpretation." Throughout my soul-winning experience, I have heard countless people attack verses used from the Bible by claiming them as according to other people's interpretations. This is an attempted excuse to destroy truth. I first asked her if there was a good reason to prove what I said was my made-up interpretation. I also declared her that I just simply read to her what the scriptures said, not interpreting her what the scriptures mean. She could not oppose what I explained. I continued, "You can go to the Mormon church all you want to find the correct interpretation of the scriptures. But there is no denying to the fact that they are all men. And we know that mankind is capable of making mistakes and always has! We need the infallible God to reveal us the truth. He is the Only One who does not make mistakes! Jesus said that the Spirit will guide us to all truth. If you will just sincerely pray to God for the truth, He will give it to you. He displays it through the scriptures." Read 0 Comments... >> |

I came across one door and knocked. A young adult opened the door. His age was around mid-twenties. I smiled and handed him a tract. He looked at me with an ill-favored expression. I can tell that he knows what I am. I asked him, "If you were to die right now, do you know for certain if you would go to Heaven?" He told me that Heaven and Hell are not real. The only authority that I could use to counter that argument was the King James Bible. I told him why I believe there was a Heaven and a Hell because of what the Bible said. I showed him all the prophetic, scientific, historical, and medical statements that the Bible predicted before mankind could ever discover them. I proved to him how God's words were far more wise than the wisdom of scholars. But the young man attended college, and he brought up attack after attack to disprove the authority of the Bible. For one proof of the authority of the Bible, I mentioned to him that the Bible said the world was round, and scholars never knew and attacked that fact until today. The young man argued, "But you can't prove the Bible is fully true just because it said the world was round. Leonardo discussed about the reality and mechanisms of tanks before the scholars today were able to find that out." I prayed for wisdom and continued witnessing to him. Read 0 Comments... >> |

One Small Verse Confounds a Jehovah's Witness |

We were knocking on doors and witnessing the gospel. One particular door opened, and a man with long hair and wearing short shorts appeared before me. I handed him a gospel tract and asked him if he was sure to go to Heaven after death. He asked if I believed in a literal Hell-fire. I answered simply, "Yes." I was thinking, "Oh, no. This guy is a Jehovah's Witness. Sure as you live and breathe!" What do you think? Yes! It was a Jehovah's Witness. But a confusing thought is he had long hair and was wearing short shorts! A more correct term would be ex-Jehovah's Witness. From what I found out, he used to be religious, and his relatives attended the Kingdom Hall. But for some reason, he turned his satisfaction to the world and lived like one ever since. As I was explaining to him about the plan of salvation, he kept saying, "You are taking those words out of context. You are interpreting the passages yourself." What Bible-believing soul-winners will experience is Jehovah's Witnesses will always interrupt you, twist your words, and insist your "interpretation" of the verses are wrong. I dealt with them before, and I must admit they have confused me by their twisting of words and changing of subjects. After battle after battle, I (as a Christian soldier) was ready this time to fight this dark warfare. The J.W. (Jehovah's Witness) said Hell was not literal fire. I turned to Luke 16 and revealed to him that hell was a literal fire where you can feel and taste the flames. Of course, how Jehovah's Witnesses counter this is by declaring, "The story of the rich man in Hell is a parable! And parables are not real life!" Those were the words that the J.W. said to me. I answered back, "Where did Jesus claim Luke 16 as a parable? Will you please show me?" He could not. However, he stubbornly mouthed out, "That is your interpretation. You are not looking at the whole context of the scriptures." I asked him, "Then can you tell me what is the correct interpretation of this passage?" He shot back, "I never said that! I just said you took the whole context out of the scriptures...(Typical Jehovah's Witnesses will keep on talking and eventually change the subject)" I stopped him, "THEN WILL YOU PLEASE TELL ME THE CORRECT INTERPRETATION OF THIS PASSAGE? If you claim I twisted the scriptures, then you surely know the correct interpretation of the scriptures, right?" He changed the subject and said again, "Luke 16 was a parable about the rich man in hell. You cannot prove to me that Luke 16 was not a parable. You cannot prove Hell as a literal fire." Quick Witnessing During a Short Break in the Rain |

The weather was cloudy. It was about to rain. The soldiers in Christ were assembling together for preparation to rescue some souls from Hell. Right after Mr. Park (our church song leader) and I finished with four houses, a drop of rain fell on my head. I was sincerely praying, "Oh, God, not yet! Just please give us one soul today before it rains." It seemed as if God did not answer that prayer, and rain began to pour like there wasn't any tomorrow. I was disappointed, and we ran to the cars. We were all set to leave, but two of our brethren (Jaewook Joo and Joshua Park) were witnessing to an old Asian man. We waited for 15 minutes, and God stopped the rain (For a while!).
My dad saw two girls walking up the streets. He told me to witness to them. I was hesitant, because the rain could fall again. But somehow the Holy Ghost "kicked" me, and I ran toward the girls. I gave them tracts, and I asked them if they were saved. They replied, "Oh, yeah. We're saved. We accepted Jesus in our hearts." Normally, some Christians would think they are saved and say, "Praise the Lord that you are saved!" But today, thousands of churches (including Catholics, and I could give you examples) also believe "accepting Christ in their hearts" is salvation. So, I was doubtful. I found out what the girls meant by "accepting Jesus in your heart." They meant by living the good life. They also told me they went to Rick Warren's Saddleback Church and that they heard the "gospel." I answered them with Ephesians 2:8-9 and started to give them the right gospel. I was dumb enough to not bring my Bible, but one of my fellow comrades-in-Christ (Caleb Park) assisted me and gave me the weapon (the Bible)! In the middle of witnessing, the clouds made a rumbling sound. I looked up and said, "Oh, boy, that's not good." I prayed, "God, not yet, please!" Read 0 Comments... >> |
