What Is Wrong with Contemporary Christian Music? (Part 6)

6. Music is not Neutral

There is no such thing as neutral music. You might ask, “What’s wrong with a note of music?

Isn’t a musical note just a sound or a pitch of air? How could there be such an accusation that

there is bad music?”

Tim Fisher, a music communicator, gives a case:

“Years ago, I heard a tape of a man who was defending the neutrality of music in a seminar.

He walked over to a piano and played a C major chord. Then he asked the audience if it was a

good C major chord or an evil C major chord. After some scattered laughter, he said, ‘See, there’s

no such thing as good or evil music.’ . . . however, a C major chord isn’t music! It is a building block

of music — and there is a big difference” (Tim Fisher, The Battle for Christian Music, page 56).

What Is Wrong with Contemporary Christian Music? (Part 5)

5. Contemporary Music Can Never Be Used for God
New Evangelicals give the excuse that they use the worldly music to bring

many teenagers to Christ. Granted, the music brings many teenagers to church,

but the music does not bring them to Christ. If it truly does, then why are those

teenagers not serving Christ by reading the Bible, praying daily, or witnessing to

others? Sure, they can hear about Christ and get emotional; but they can’t recognize

their sinful condition, truly confess Christ as their Saviour, and serve Christ faithfully.

You may give the excuse that much fruit is being brought to Christ from worldly music,

but the truth is that fruit is not measured by the quantity, but from the quality. Jesus said three times that the fruit

should be good. He never said the fruit should be numerous. It’s quality, not quantity. Jesus specifically stated

in Matthew 7:19 that a fruit that has evil in it should be cast into the fire. The worldly music contains evil Satanic

beats and fleshly sounds despite its mostly good lyrics. You never call an apple a good apple when it has just one

bad bruise in it.

What Is Wrong with Contemporary Christian Music? (Part 3)3. The Affects of Contemporary Music
According to psychology, science, and medical studies, worldly music also causes physical and spiritual problems in the body.

In 1978, a California music therapist, investigating the affects of rock music on teenagers, administered to 240 school children aged 10-18 an emotional stability test during which rock was being played. The results were then examined by a psychologist who was unaware of the experiment. He concluded that the test had been...

What Is Wrong with Contemporary Christian Music? (Part 2)2. Contemporary Music is from a Satanic Beat
When it comes to off-beats, we must ask ourselves, “Where do these rhythm beats come from, and how did they get into our music?” Classical music and hymns definitely do not have any off-beats to it. There is evidence that the off-beats of worldly music are from a Satanic rhythm — African voodoo.

Jeff Godwin gives facts and footnotes of famous rock musicians who studied the ancient beats in Satanism. Such rock stars were...

Philadelphia vs. Laodiceans - Sunday SermonThis is one of my favorite sermons.  Listen to the Word of God.  "One of the greatest single products of the period of Philadelphia Church is the Authorized Version under King James I of England.  Without a doubt!"

Revelation 3:14-22

14: And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

What Is Wrong with Contemporary Christian Music? (Part 4)4. Contemporary Music is of the Flesh
I Corinthians 14:15 states the singing must be done from the spirit, not from the flesh. The problem with worldly music is that it does not concentrate on the spirit, but rather on the flesh. You might think, “Maybe to others, not to me.” However, musicians, who studied each note and trace, know that the actual reaction of worldly music is of the flesh.

The Encyclopedia Americana (an internationally recognized encyclopedia) states that...

1: After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2: And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Bible Study - Book of 2 Peter (Chapter 1)

2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

1 Peter 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
