Signs and Wonders (Part 1) PDF Print E-mail

There are Charismatic leaders who pretend to perform signs and wonders, but cannot really display them.  The gullible people get fooled easily and believe in what they have seen to be true.  Exodus 7:10-12, 22; 8:7 shows when Moses and Aaron performed the signs in front of Pharaoh, the magicians were also able to perform them.  Since they were magicians, there was a trick to these signs.  In Exodus 8:18-19, the magicians were later exposed for not being able to turn dust into lice.  If Charismatic leaders can drink poison, heal a sick person, or take up serpents, there is obviously some trick behind it.  Any person who has the talent can certainly perform them.  One trick that they cannot do would be to raise a dead person.  This would prove that the performance of those signs and wonders that the Charismatic leaders showed are pretense.

Suffer the Devil's Rage PDF Print E-mail
And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.  While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, and said, Naked came I out of...

Too Late when the Fire Hits PDF Print E-mail
Luke 17:29

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

When Lot had many years to lead his loved ones to the way of God, he never did.  Until God pronounced his fire upon Sodom, then Lot finally started to witness to his family members.  But what happened?  It was already too late.  He lived in the world far too long, and the people would not listen to what he said.  He could only manage...

Speaking of Tongues (Part 3) PDF Print E-mail
Charismatics will think that the audience in Acts 2 did not hear the disciples speaking in their own languages, but rather a heavenly language from God.  They will figure the people were able to understand, because God enabled their hearts to understand what the disciples were saying.  If you look at vs. 6, 8, 11 of Acts 2, the disciples spoke in human languages, not in unknown tongues.  Nowhere is it found in the passage that the disciples spoke in unknown tongues, nor is it...

Innumerable Blessings PDF Print E-mail
Ps 40:5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Many times Christians feel discouraged, depressed, and discontented with the life that God has given.  Trials come up, and we want to moan.  We take for granted the possessions we have.  Many people desire to leave the Christian life and seek...
